Hi
Back in the early 90's I visited a friend in KC. We went to the house in St Joseph where Jesse James was killed and had quite an experience there. I am psychic and occasionally ghosts will make contact with me. My problems started when I couldn't see the bullet holes in the wall that my friend insisted were there. Then I started bumping into furniture that I couldn't see and trying to avoid hitting furniture that only I could see. I knew I was in trouble when I could look through a doorway that wasn't there earlier into the kitchen (which is no longer being used as a kitchen). I looked out the front door and the street was gone. I only saw grass, a field and a dirt road or tracks out front. I don't know if this was a past life experience or what but it can be disconcerting when it happens.
Then I saw two people who kept popping in and out of the room. In questioning my friend and the curator I found out that we were the only visitors and I realized that these other people were ghosts. I ignored my friend and the curator and started to talk to the ghosts for I could tell that they wanted to talk but were hesitant. They were a blond-haired man (a little on the chubby side) and a thinner brown-haired woman, both maybe in their 30's. She did all the talking, the man seemed shy and only whispered to the woman. I was able to confirm that my vision of the kitchen and living room (style, decor and contents) were the same as when she lived there.
Frankly I didn't handle our conversation well, I ended up arguing with them. She was emphatic that I "tell them the truth about what happened" which I assumed to be about Jesse James murder. I had fleeting visions of the sheriff and the blond man but I couldn't see the actual shooting. My feeling was that the sheriff was somehow involved and that perhaps Robert Ford was made a scapegoat for the shooting. The woman did not like this, insisting that this wrong and that I knew the truth and "must tell them". Well this is what I saw and I asked her to tell me what the truth was but she wouldn't, just insisted that I knew. I got frustrated with her evasiveness and lack of information and we ended up arguing. My friend and the curator could hear and see nothing of this and the ghosts seemingly could not see them as well.
I have no idea who these people were. I have looked at photos on the Internet and the man doesn't look like Robert Ford or Jesse James (nor their brothers). I guess the woman could've been Martha Bolton (haven't found a picture of her) or perhaps some other relative of either clan. They wouldn't tell me who they were (no surprise), only that they wanted the truth to come out. Whatever that meant since I was obviously wrong. This has been bugging me for years and I've never found anything about this house being "haunted" on the Internet.
As an aside I visited the KC zoo and while riding the train had a very angry black female teenager suddenly sit next to me. I didn't realize she was a ghost until she poof, disappeared before the train came to it's stop (she said that she had to get off before the stop, that there was someone there who meant to do great harm to her). Then I started talking to a white woman and her 2 kids (boy and girl) who turned out to be ghosts as well. I had spotted the boy on the train in front of us, changing seats and peeking at us. I never did find out who the teenager was but this woman and kids had been sensationally murdered by her husband. That conversation was much more pleasant than the ride with the angry teenager. The little girl warned of me of upcoming trouble (and was she ever right). I wish I could've helped them leave but they weren't ready to go at that time.
If you do know anything about the Jesse James house in St Joseph (not the family farmhouse), could you please tell me? I've always wondered who these people were and what in the heck they were talking about.
Thanks!
VP
Hi. Im not sure how old the Jesse James post was, or if anyone else has emailed you about it, but I just came across it, and do have some info. I am a distant cousin on both sides of my family to Jesse and love history and genealogy, so I have studied him somewhat, but am by no means an expert though lol There was a lot of ppl involved in his murder. The govenor gave Robert Ford a full pardon and a small amount of reward money, but there were 2 sheriffs I believe, who were also involved in the conspiracy, who collected the majority of the reward money. Their names have left my mind at the moment, but maybe this is what the lady was talking about? As far as who the man and lady were, not sure about the man, but Zerelda James- Jesse's wife, NOT his mother Zerelda (Jesse and his wife were actually cousins, 1st cousins I believe, making his mother Zerelda, his wife Zerelda not only her mother in law but her aunt. The younger Zerelda was also named after the elder) was a slightly petite lady when she was younger and had brownish hair. As she aged she did put on weight, but she was rather petite and thinnish when she was younger. You have probably seen pictures of her though, if you have looked on the internet, but other than her, I am not sure. As I said, I am by no means an expert, just an amatuer history buff on the side, but maybe something I have said may help you! Nice post btw. Came across it while looking for Jesse articles to read.
